Al Capone: Known for his kindness, but became notorious because he dealt with the illegal, underground alcohol business. Capone was someone who seemingly 'controlled' the law and got away with a lot of things. He was also known for stealing and the murders his gang completed. He was sent to Alcatraz and died right after his sentence of pneumonia and a stroke. He is one of the most recognizable gangsters today.
Dutch Schultz: Started his life of crime when he was only 17 years old. Dutch spent his whole life fighting rival gangs and in court. He had a bad attitude with everyone but that's what eventually cost him. Dutch was gunned down at the age of 33 by a rival gang member.
Charles "Lucky" Luciano: An immigrant who didn't know much English turned menacing mobster. Lucky beat up kids who did not pay him money for protection from older kids. When he grew up he was known as one of the "Big Six" bootleggers. He was called Lucky because he was beaten, stabbed and then left to die. He survived, much to the disdain of those who sought to destroy him. He later ended up dying from a heart attack.
