What is a successful country without a leader? Our country currently operates under a representative democracy. We vote for the candidates that we believe share our interests the most. The head honcho of all of this is the president. Every four years we elect (or re-elect) a president into office. They oversee our nation and deal with its affairs. I would venture to say that they hold the most important job in the world because they carry the weight of the biggest economic and military power the world has ever known. Not only that, but they also carry with them the weight of all the citizens who share inalienable rights and freedoms.
