America took a heavy toll after our approach in the war of the 1940's, World War II. This was a huge opportunity for jobs in America. In the end, like all wars, there was a huge drawback-- the lives of the brave men and women involved. Americans hesitated to jump into this war at first. Propaganda and Patriotism were movements that defined this era. Americans fought the most powerful forces, the Axis powers, in a struggle for their lives and for Lady Liberty.
WWII was one of the most cohesive battles of its time period, and one of the most hard won victories of the Allied powers. This war was one of the most challenging obstacles that America dealt with in the 20th century. The weapons of World War II were vast, and very powerful. Some are still superior to the weapons used today, such as the M1 Grand, the Kalashnikov, or the AK-47.
